Criterion & Trackforce launch unified payroll solution for security
Criterion and Trackforce have announced a partnership aimed at providing security firms in the United Kingdom and Canada with integrated workforce management and payroll solutions.
The collaboration brings together TrackTik, Trackforce's workforce management platform, and Criterion's payroll and human resources technology. This combination offers an API-based system designed to simplify and automate back-office operations for security companies, helping reduce administrative workload and improving the integrity of workforce data.
The integration enables organisations to manage all aspects of their workforce, such as time and attendance, mobile patrol, scheduling, HR, and payroll, through one system instead of relying on disparate software or manual entry. Both companies are focusing their attention on servicing the security service sector, which often has specific operational needs related to shift work, compliance, and timely payroll processes.
James Benum, Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at Trackforce, commented on the new partnership:
"We're thrilled to partner with Criterion HCM to bring a best-in-class integrated experience to our customers in the UK and Canada. Security companies depend on accurate and efficient workforce management and payroll processes. By uniting TrackTik's specialized features with Criterion's modern HCM platform, we're helping them operate smarter and more efficiently."
The solution is designed to help security companies address common pain points, such as duplicate data entry, administrative errors, and discrepancies between scheduling and payroll data. By using the shared API, companies can ensure that the information entered into the workforce management system is synchronised automatically with the payroll and HR systems, without manual intervention.
Sunil Reddy, Chief Executive Officer at Criterion, noted the compatibility between the two companies' objectives:
"Trackforce's focus on the unique needs of the security guard industry aligns perfectly with Criterion's mission to simplify payroll and HR for organisations with complex workforce requirements. Our seamless integration now built into the advanced TrackTik platform enables organisations to manage their security teams confidently, from scheduling to payroll, without duplicate data entry or errors."
Clients who are already using the integrated solution have reported quicker payroll cycles and more streamlined workforce management practices. According to the companies, these early adopters are experiencing less complexity in their back-office tasks and improved accuracy in payroll processing.
Market focus
The partnership's initial rollout is targeted at security businesses in Canada and the UK. However, there are plans to extend the combined offering into other geographical markets as the integration matures and demand grows in different regions.
Both companies state that their joint solution is particularly suitable for organisations with distributed workforces and substantial scheduling and compliance requirements, making it well-matched to the needs of the security services sector in both countries.
The collaboration reflects ongoing trends in workforce digitalisation and the increasing importance of interoperability between key business systems. Security firms in particular face complex administrative challenges as they coordinate large teams working on varying shifts and at multiple sites, highlighting the demand for joined-up technology solutions.
Both Criterion and Trackforce continue to develop products which they say are designed to make operations smoother and back offices more efficient. Their joint platform will continue to evolve in response to feedback from current and future customers.
