DXC unveils AI platform to transform life insurance projections
DXC Technology has launched Assure Illustrations, an artificial intelligence-powered software solution designed to simplify and personalise the way life insurers deliver policy projections.
Assure Illustrations, which is now available globally, has been developed as a software-as-a-service platform intended to enhance the experience for both insurance advisors and customers. The new platform allows insurers to rapidly generate tailored and compliant policy illustrations, providing projections through a range of channels including advisor-assisted, contact centres, and digital self-service environments.
Insurer challenges
Life insurers typically face increasing demands to provide more individualised and regulatory-compliant policy illustrations, all while controlling operational costs and making use of established IT systems. Many in the sector must navigate complex infrastructure and fragmented toolsets that limit flexibility and efficiency.
DXC Technology states that Assure Illustrations is designed to address these challenges. By consolidating processes and enhancing accessibility, the solution aims to improve agent productivity and make financial product explanations clearer for customers. The platform operates across multiple user roles and devices, featuring a mobile-first design and consistent interface.
Key platform features
Assure Illustrations is built using DXC's existing Assure Architecture and is already integrated with DXC's core life insurance systems. Major features highlighted by the company include AI-enabled policy projections, where customers can explore different scenarios using natural language guidance. This functionality is intended to help users easily model variables such as future premiums, projected cash values, or potential benefit amounts.
Additional features include pre-built integrations that remove the need for third-party software development, reducing implementation times and costs for insurers.
The system also provides robust scenario planning tools. Insurers, agents, and customers are able to run goal-seeking analyses, adjust premium schedules, and forecast long-term benefits through the platform, with a view to making financial planning more transparent and accessible.
Executive perspective
"At DXC, we're focused on modernising insurance operations through AI and automation to deliver seamless, intelligent experiences," said Ray August, President of Insurance Software and Business Process Services at DXC. "With Assure Illustrations, we're helping insurers accelerate digital transformation and elevate customer engagement. By simplifying complex processes and enabling smarter, more personalised planning, we're setting a new standard for how the industry connects with policyholders."
System compatibility and global reach
Assure Illustrations has been designed to be compatible with DXC's suite of life insurance policy administration systems, supporting the company's broader strategy to standardise digital applications across the insurance sector. Its mobile-optimised interface aims to facilitate usage in a variety of environments, from face-to-face advisory meetings to contact centre interactions and self-service online platforms.
The rollout comes as DXC states its position as a service provider to 21 of the world's top 25 insurers, claiming ongoing support for over a billion policies processed on its software. The company notes its focus on technological improvements that are intended to reduce complexity and lower operational costs for insurers, with the goal of helping clients adapt to changing regulatory, competitive, and consumer requirements worldwide.
The introduction of Assure Illustrations is the latest development in DXC's range of IT and software solutions for the insurance market, continuing its expansion into artificial intelligence applications aimed at transforming established business functions and workflows in the financial services industry.
