Juniper & ServiceNow expand AI-native automation for networks

Today

Juniper Networks has expanded its partnership with ServiceNow to integrate its Mist AI-native networking platform with ServiceNow's telecom management solutions, delivering full-stack network and service automation for enterprises and managed service providers (MSPs).

The combined solution brings together AI-native, cloud-native and API-driven wired, wireless and SD-WAN systems to streamline network and service management. This integration, described as the first of its kind for these platforms, aims to help businesses and MSPs improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Deutsche Telekom is currently utilising the joint solution to accelerate service delivery through its Secure Networking for Enterprise managed services portfolio. By incorporating the solution's Provisioning & Deployment capabilities, Deutsche Telekom has reported faster time-to-value for customers using the DT-Juniper Mist enterprise full stack offering. Deep integration has allowed Deutsche Telekom to create a unique selling point within the managed services market.

The partnership extends the value of Juniper Mist AI and automation across the entire network operations lifecycle, with a focus on automation and proactive operations. The certified integration leverages Juniper's AI-native insights across wired, wireless and WAN assurance, combined with ServiceNow's automated onboarding, service management, sales and order management, asset visibility, and auto-ticketing and resolution capabilities.

Joint customers benefit from streamlined deployment processes, fewer network disruptions, and optimised operational expenses throughout various stages of network management. The integration is enabled by the open and programmable nature of both platforms, which allowed rapid delivery and validation of the new capabilities.

ServiceNow has implemented Juniper Mist solutions to modernise its own network infrastructure, deploying end-to-end wired, wireless and SD-WAN technologies. This internal transformation has resulted in a 60 percent reduction in network costs, a 90 percent reduction in wireless issues, and network deployments that are 50 percent faster, contributing to improved operational efficiency and employee experience within ServiceNow.

Juniper has been a registered Build partner with ServiceNow since 2023, and the combined solution is currently available through the ServiceNow Store.

Niklas Horstmann, Vice President responsible for Secure Networking within T Business at Telekom Deutschland, commented: "This unique AI-native solution from Juniper and ServiceNow enables two significant points of value for our Secure Networking managed services in a highly competitive space. By embedding AI across the entire network operations lifecycle, this collaboration enables MSPs to automate critical processes, improve operational efficiency, and deliver consistent, high-quality service with unparalleled speed.
