Spinnaker chosen to support BRP's SAP systems for 5 years
Spinnaker Support has been selected by BRP to provide third-party software support for its SAP applications and technologies over the next five years.
The agreement comes in the wake of SAP's decision to end support for ECC patch levels EHP0-EHP4 by December 2025, prompting BRP to seek an alternative solution. The contract grants BRP continued operation of its SAP systems, maintaining global tax and regulatory compliance across its business operations in 22 countries.
The decision to engage Spinnaker is aimed at allowing BRP the flexibility to plan and proceed with its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) strategy as per its timeline and business goals, ensuring system continuity while exploring cost-effective avenues beyond vendor support.
Matt Stava, Chief Executive Officer of Spinnaker Support, stated, "Spinnaker's independent software support allows businesses predictability and the freedom to make ERP decisions on their own terms, not just from an in-depth technical support perspective but a financial one as well. Ultimately, it's about providing businesses with the time and resources they need to make the right strategic business decisions."
The partnership with Spinnaker is set to provide BRP with necessary breathing space. As one of Canada's most recognisable companies, BRP is represented across various segments in the powersports industry, including snowmobiles, watercraft, and off-road vehicles, among others.
Utilising Spinnaker's services means BRP can maintain its operations without interruption, aligning its IT strategy with business objectives while potentially achieving cost savings compared to traditional vendor support models.
