Zapier & Rillet launch finance workflow integration

Wed, 25th Mar 2026

Zapier and Rillet have launched an integration for finance teams, linking Rillet's ERP system with Zapier's app network.

The integration connects Rillet's general ledger tools with more than 8,000 applications on Zapier's platform, allowing finance workflows to move across systems such as payroll, customer management, email and workplace messaging tools.

It is aimed at finance departments that have relied on traditional enterprise resource planning systems and separate software connections to manage tasks such as month-end close, approvals and reconciliations. The new setup is intended to reduce manual work and remove the need for engineering teams or external consultants to build links between systems.

Under the arrangement, Rillet provides the ERP layer while Zapier handles workflow orchestration across other business applications. This allows finance teams to automate multi-step processes including general ledger synchronisation, approval routing and exception handling.

Finance Workflows

Examples include month-end close processes in which ledger entries are synchronised in Rillet while approvals and notifications are sent through tools such as Slack and email. Other use cases include synchronising ERP records with payroll, CRM and project management systems, as well as routing invoice and expense approvals through the applications staff already use.

The integration also includes predictive finance workflows tied to cash flow analysis, designed to flag risks and anomalies earlier in the process.

Rillet has built its business around AI-focused finance software, while Zapier has expanded from app integrations into AI-based workflow automation. The partnership reflects a wider push by software suppliers to position AI tools in core back-office operations, including accounting and financial controls.

Finance teams are under pressure to shorten closing cycles and improve oversight while coping with fragmented software estates. In many companies, accounting systems remain connected to other tools through bespoke integrations, spreadsheets or consultant-led implementation projects, making changes slow and costly.

Rillet already integrates directly with products including Salesforce, HubSpot and Stripe, and the Zapier link extends its reach to thousands of additional applications. That breadth may appeal to fast-growing businesses using a mix of newer cloud software and looking to limit custom development work.

"Legacy ERPs weren't built for this moment. Rillet is," said Nicolas Kopp, Founder and CEO, Rillet. "Rillet is AI-native from the ground up, not AI wrapped around 20th-century accounting software. Pairing that with Zapier's orchestration platform means finance teams can deploy intelligent agents across their entire stack, and make the Continuous Close a reality. That's not an integration. That's a new category and way of working."

The announcement comes as Rillet scales its business after a recent $70 million Series B funding round led by a16z and ICONIQ. It has raised more than $100 million in total in under a year and has more than 200 customers.

Zapier, long known for connecting workplace applications through no-code automation, now serves more than 3 million businesses and supports over 8,000 app integrations. It has also processed more than 200 million AI tasks.

Growth Plans

The deal gives Rillet wider access to the software categories finance teams use beyond core accounting, including communications, sales, billing and operational systems. For Zapier, it offers a way to deepen its presence in finance functions, where workflow errors and approval bottlenecks can have direct operational and reporting consequences.

"Zapier is the AI orchestration platform for the enterprise, and finance is one of the most important workflows to get right," said Ryan Roccon, Chief Financial Officer, Zapier. "Rillet's AI-native ERP, combined with Zapier's ability to orchestrate AI agents across a company's entire tool stack, gives finance teams a genuinely intelligent system. Not legacy software with AI features retrofitted on."

The integration is available on Zapier's platform.
