Synthflow appoints Matt Alexander as Channel Chief

Fri, 10th Apr 2026

Synthflow has appointed Matt Alexander as Vice President of Channel and Alliances, expanding its leadership team as it pursues international growth.

Alexander joins the artificial intelligence customer service software group with experience in channel sales, alliances and go-to-market partnerships across the customer experience and AI sectors. He will lead the development and execution of Synthflow's global partner strategy, with a focus on the US and other international markets.

In his first weeks in the role, Alexander has already secured strategic partnerships, although Synthflow did not name the organisations involved. The company said his approach centres on building a smaller number of deeper commercial relationships rather than a broad partner roster.

Before joining Synthflow, Alexander worked at Vonage, where he helped shape the company's global go-to-market partner strategy. His remit included distributors and strategic alliances, including Amazon Web Services. Vonage was later acquired by Ericsson in a deal valued at USD $6.2 billion.

He later served as a Strategic Advisor at Glia, where he built a technology services distributor partner programme and worked on the company's position in financial services customer experience.

Synthflow develops AI agents for customer conversations across phone and chat. It says it has handled more than 65 million customer calls for over 100 enterprise customers, including Freshworks and Thryv.

The appointment comes as software suppliers across the customer service and contact centre markets place greater emphasis on indirect sales channels and alliance ecosystems, particularly as businesses look for AI tools that can integrate with existing communication and workflow systems.

This increases the importance of partner leaders with experience in cloud marketplaces, systems integrators, distributors and software alliances. For smaller and mid-sized technology companies, those relationships can shape access to large corporate customers and support regional expansion.

Hakob Astabatsyan, Chief Executive Officer of Synthflow, commented on the appointment.

"We are thrilled to welcome Matt to the Synthflow team. His extensive experience and proven ability to build high-impact partnerships make him the perfect leader to drive our channel strategy forward and accelerate our global growth in the competitive AI market," said Astabatsyan.

Alexander said Synthflow was focusing on alliances with established names in the customer experience partner market.

"I see tremendous potential in our new partnerships. We're forming alliances with strong brands and organizations that have deep expertise in the CX partner ecosystem. I am excited to co-sell alongside their teams and collaborate across their partner ecosystems to drive meaningful growth and achieve our shared revenue goals," said Alexander.

Synthflow said its platform combines AI agent orchestration with its own telephony infrastructure, allowing businesses to manage automated customer interactions across different channels. The company is building its presence in a market where suppliers are competing for enterprise demand for AI-led customer support tools.

For companies in that market, partner programmes can provide a route into both direct sales opportunities and broader technology ecosystems. Alexander's appointment places an executive with experience in alliance-led growth at the centre of that effort.
