Boomi tops 2026 Gartner iPaaS rankings for execution

Wed, 18th Mar 2026

Boomi has been named a Leader and ranked highest for Ability to Execute in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), marking its 12th consecutive year in the Leaders quadrant.

The iPaaS market covers software that connects applications, data sources, and services across cloud and on-premise environments. Vendors typically compete on the breadth of connectors, integration design tools, monitoring, governance, and support for application programming interfaces and automation.

Boomi reports more than 30,000 customers worldwide. Reference customers include Tropicana, Toyota Australia, BNP Paribas, Chevron Federal Credit Union, and Moderna.

Product focus

Over the past year, Boomi has emphasised integration and automation, API management, agent management, and data management. It frames this work around "data activation", which it defines as linking, governing, and operationalising data across systems for use in business processes and AI-related projects.

Recent product updates include integrating Rivery following an acquisition. Boomi now brands the offering as Boomi Data Integration, which adds real-time data ingestion and data pipeline features aimed at preparing data for analytics.

Boomi has also added managed file transfer after acquiring Thru. It says the addition has driven customer adoption up by more than 270 per cent since the deal. Managed file transfer is often used to move large volumes of data between organisations under defined security and audit requirements.

Another area of development is support for change data capture ingestion for SAP systems. Change data capture tracks updates in source systems and moves those changes to targets without full reloads. This tooling is often used in modernisation programmes where organisations run mixed estates across older and newer platforms.

API management

Boomi has introduced API management features covering publishing, securing, monitoring, and governing APIs. Many organisations use API management alongside integration tools as they expose internal services to partners, developers, and external platforms.

Boomi has also expanded support for Model Context Protocol, aiming to provide AI agents with controlled access to enterprise APIs, integrations, and data sources. Model Context Protocol has been gaining attention as a way to connect AI models and agents to tools and content in a structured manner, though approaches and implementations vary by vendor.

Agent tooling

Boomi says adoption of its agent management platform, Boomi Agentstudio, has grown since launch. It describes the product as including governance features for organisations running "agentic AI" in production environments.

More than 75,000 agents are now deployed in production, according to Boomi. It also says partners have published hundreds of reusable workflow assets through the Boomi Marketplace.

Alongside agent tooling, Boomi is promoting Boomi Meta Hub. It describes the product as extending its master data management and connectivity work. Meta Hub acts as a central system of record for shared data context across AI and other systems, according to the company.

Partners and alliances

Boomi says it has expanded its partner ecosystem and continues to work with global system integrators and independent software vendors. It also highlighted collaborations with technology and services providers.

Named partners include AWS, ServiceNow, DXC, and EY. Boomi says these relationships are linked to enterprise demand for agentic AI initiatives and deployment work around integration and automation programmes.

Steve Lucas, Boomi's chairman and CEO, said: "Our continued recognition as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for iPaaS - and being positioned highest for Ability to Execute - in our opinion, reinforces that Boomi is not just keeping pace with the market, we're defining it."

"We believe being recognised for the 12th consecutive year reflects the consistency of our innovation, the strength of our platform, and the measurable outcomes we deliver for customers worldwide," Lucas added.

Boomi says its roadmap continues to centre on integration, API management, agent governance, and data management as organisations increase investment in AI-related programmes.
