eScan has recognised its top-performing channel partners with a week-long trip to Thailand, underscoring its continued focus on channel relationships.

The cyber security company, a brand of MicroWorld Technologies, brought together leading partners for networking, business discussions, cultural activities and sightseeing. The trip was designed both to reward sales performance and deepen engagement with resellers and other channel businesses that help distribute its products across multiple markets.

Channel partners remain central to how many security software vendors reach customers, particularly in markets where local resellers and service providers shape purchasing decisions and provide frontline support. eScan says it works with a global channel ecosystem of 50,000 partners and has a presence in more than 90 countries.

The recognition programme comes as cyber security suppliers seek to keep partners closely aligned with changing customer demand. Organisations are managing broader digital estates, more potential entry points for attackers and rising requirements around endpoint security, threat detection and data protection. Together, these trends have increased the importance of specialist advice and local market knowledge.

The Thailand trip also gave eScan an opportunity to exchange market insights with partners and discuss changing business and customer requirements. That reflects a wider technology-sector trend, in which vendor-partner relationships increasingly extend beyond sales incentives into planning, feedback and market development.

Channel strategy

Partner engagement is an important part of eScan's growth strategy. The company is seeking to strengthen its market presence and customer relationships through ongoing collaboration with the firms that sell and support its security offerings.

That approach is especially relevant in cyber security, where products are often updated in response to changing threats and customers may rely on partners to explain deployment options, compliance demands and the differences between tools for prevention, detection and response. Vendors also depend on partners to identify opportunities in sectors such as government, large enterprises and mid-sized businesses.

eScan says it continues to build its capabilities in areas including endpoint detection and response, extended detection and response, and data loss prevention. This effort is supported by more than 300 research and development professionals.

For partners, recognition programmes can serve as both reward and retention tools in a market where vendors compete for reseller attention. Trips, incentive programmes and training initiatives have long been part of the channel model, but companies are also under pressure to show that these schemes lead to stronger commercial ties and better customer support.

In comments on the programme, Shweta Thakare linked the initiative directly to the company's reliance on its partner network.

"At eScan, our channel partners have always been an important part of our growth journey. Their trust, commitment and consistent performance have helped us strengthen our presence across markets. This Thailand experience was our way of recognising their contribution and celebrating the relationships we have built together," said Shweta Thakare, Vice President - Global Sales & Marketing, eScan.

Her remarks underline the role vendors assign to channel businesses not only as routes to market, but also as a source of continuity across regions where customer expectations differ. In practice, the strength of a partner network can influence how quickly a supplier enters new segments or responds to shifts in demand.

eScan says it is focusing on sustained partner development through collaboration, knowledge sharing and technology enablement. The company presents that work as part of a broader effort to create opportunities for partners while widening customer access to cyber security products and services.

Market demands

The backdrop is a cyber security market in which customers are asking for broader coverage across devices, users and data, while also seeking simpler ways to manage risk. That can increase the importance of intermediaries that understand local procurement patterns, industry-specific requirements and after-sales support.

Thakare also pointed to the shifting threat environment and the part partners play in responding to it.

"The cybersecurity landscape continues to evolve, and organisations need to remain prepared as threats become more sophisticated and attack surfaces continue to expand. Our partners are an important link between technology and customers. We remain committed to supporting them with the right solutions, knowledge, business opportunities and engagement initiatives to address these changing requirements," said Thakare.
