Gallagher Security has won the Outstanding Security Equipment Manufacturer award at the 2026 US Outstanding Security Performance Awards in Atlanta, its third win in the category since 2023.

The award recognised Gallagher's model of designing and manufacturing access control, perimeter and intruder alarm products within one business, an approach intended to simplify upgrades and support for customers.

Headquartered in Hamilton, New Zealand, Gallagher has an established commercial and operational presence in the United States. The group has been expanding its Americas business as it releases new products and software updates for the region.

Gallagher introduces new platform generations every three to five years and issues two Command Centre software releases each year. Recent launches include QuickSwitch and the High Security Controller 7000, developed in response to demand across the Americas, including federal sites and remote infrastructure.

Judges' comments

The OSPAs recognise companies, products and individuals in the security sector. In comments released alongside the award, judges cited Gallagher's research and development spending and its integrated product model.

"Gallagher Security is recognized for its integrated security solutions and continued investment in innovation, with 15% of annual revenue invested in research and development. Its extensive security credentials, vertically integrated ecosystem, and focus on quality, resilience and emerging threats demonstrate a strong commitment to the evolving needs of customers," said OSPA judges.

That level of research spending was one of the clearest financial indicators disclosed in connection with the award. Judges also pointed to the company's security credentials and focus on emerging threats as factors in the decision.

Mark Junge, Chief Executive, Gallagher Security, linked the result to the company's operating structure.

"With Gallagher, you're dealing with one manufacturer end-to-end that makes upgrades simpler, support clearer, and security more assured. Winning this award is strong recognition of that approach, and of the work our teams put in every day to build products our customers trust to protect what matters," said Junge.

US market

The win comes as Gallagher continues to build its profile in North America, where the US market remains a key area for security suppliers serving government and commercial customers. The company highlighted the significance of receiving the award in Atlanta as its Americas business grows.

Matt Butts, Executive Vice President Americas, Gallagher Security, said the recognition carried regional significance.

"To be recognized here in Atlanta, on home turf for our growing Americas business, is a fantastic endorsement of the products we've brought to this region and the partnerships we've built with our Channel Partners and End Users along the way," said Butts.

Gallagher was also represented in another awards category. Mariah Rimbert, Federal Business Development Manager, was shortlisted in the Outstanding Young Security Professional category for her work on Gallagher's federal government programmes.

Gallagher framed the manufacturer award as recognition not only of its products but also of its long-term investment in product development, which it said is tied to work on solutions shaped by operational requirements in the field.

"This recognition reflects the strength of our people, our long-term investment in R&D, and our focus on building solutions grounded in real-world needs. We're incredibly proud to see that recognized here at GSX," said Junge.
