Jerry Harvey Audio names GerrAudio Canada distributor
Tue, 30th Jun 2026 (Today)
Jerry Harvey Audio has appointed GerrAudio Distribution as its exclusive distributor in Canada, giving the in-ear monitor maker dedicated representation in the country for the first time.
The arrangement extends an existing channel relationship through Sound Devices, the audio equipment business that acquired Jerry Harvey Audio in 2025. GerrAudio already distributes Sound Devices in Canada, which should help support customers as the brands work more closely together.
Until now, Jerry Harvey Audio products were sold in Canada without a local distributor. Under the new structure, Canadian customers will have access to local sales support, product demonstrations, technical expertise and service co-ordination through GerrAudio.
The deal also expands GerrAudio's portfolio in professional audio, broadcast and communications equipment. Based in Canada, the distributor serves customers across live production, performing arts, broadcast, corporate AV, education, government and worship markets.
Founded in 2007 by audio engineer Jerry Harvey, Jerry Harvey Audio is known for custom and universal-fit in-ear monitors used by touring artists, engineers and other audio professionals. GerrAudio's network of retail partners is also expected to extend the reach of its universal-fit range, including a recently introduced model called Jessie.
Canadian market
The appointment signals a more formal push into Canada following Jerry Harvey Audio's ownership change. With Sound Devices now in the picture, the brand appears to be aligning distribution where local support and integration with related product lines matter to professional users.
Nigel Beaumont, Chief Executive Officer at JH Audio, said Canada was a priority market for the company.
"Canada represents an important market for JH Audio, and we're excited to partner with a company that understands both the technical and personal side of our business," said Nigel Beaumont, Chief Executive Officer at JH Audio.
He said GerrAudio's established customer base across several parts of the professional audio sector would also support that strategy.
"GerrAudio has earned the trust of audio professionals across the country and has built strong relationships throughout the live sound, broadcast, and installation markets. Just as importantly, they provide the local presence and support infrastructure needed to better serve our Canadian customers and grow awareness of the JH Audio product portfolio," Beaumont said.
The strategy appears to go beyond product availability alone. In a category where fit, product knowledge and after-sales service can play a significant role in purchasing decisions, a local distributor can provide hands-on support and relationship management.
Distribution ties
For GerrAudio, the agreement deepens its ties with the Audiotonix group of brands through Sound Devices and now Jerry Harvey Audio. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the appointment adds another specialist audio manufacturer to GerrAudio's line-up at a time when distributors are under pressure to offer both technical support and broad coverage across converging markets such as live sound and broadcast.
Geoff Maurice, Vice-President of Sales at GerrAudio Distribution, said the deal reflected Jerry Harvey Audio's reputation among professional users.
"JH Audio has built an incredible reputation among touring professionals, engineers, and musicians worldwide," said Geoff Maurice, Vice-President of Sales at GerrAudio Distribution.
He also linked the agreement to the ownership structure created by Sound Devices' acquisition of Jerry Harvey Audio.
"Their products are trusted in the most demanding applications, and we're excited to bring that level of performance to the Canadian market. The combination of JH Audio's innovation in personal monitoring and Sound Devices' leadership in wireless audio creates exciting opportunities for our customers, and we're looking forward to being part of that journey," Maurice said.
The rationale for the appointment is straightforward. Buyers in professional audio often prefer local access to specialist products, particularly in categories that require explanation, demonstrations and ongoing service support. Brands seeking wider adoption in regional markets often rely on established distributors with existing relationships across rental companies, broadcasters, venues and resellers.
Founded in 1977, GerrAudio has long operated in Canada as a distributor of professional audio, communications and broadcast technology. Adding Jerry Harvey Audio gives the US manufacturer a local route to market it previously lacked, while tying the brand more closely to Sound Devices' existing presence in Canada.
Previously, JH Audio products were available in Canada without dedicated local representation.
