Mastercam Canada Brings In-House Solutions Into the Mastercam Family

Thu, 5th Mar 2026

Mastercam Canada has acquired In-House Solutions, a long-time Canadian channel partner, and folded the business into its direct Canadian operations.

In-House Solutions now operates as Mastercam Canada. The change expands Mastercam's direct presence in the Canadian manufacturing market and changes how it sells and supports its software in the region.

Mastercam develops computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing software used in machine shops and manufacturing operations. It is part of Sandvik Group's digital manufacturing portfolio.

In-House Solutions previously resold Mastercam and provided customer support in Canada. With the acquisition, those services move from a partner model into Mastercam's own organisation. Customers in the territories formerly covered by In-House Solutions will now work directly with Mastercam Canada for sales, training, and support.

Channel shift

The move reflects a broader pattern in industrial software, where vendors adjust partner networks and direct coverage to meet service expectations and competitive pressure. Manufacturing customers often place high value on local application expertise and fast response times. Direct operations can also help suppliers standardise training and support across regions.

Mastercam framed the acquisition as a way to strengthen local engagement while maintaining access to global resources. Russ Bukowski, President of Mastercam, called the deal a step in the company's Canadian strategy.

"This marks an important milestone for Mastercam and for our customers in Canada," said Russ Bukowski, President of Mastercam. "By bringing In-House Solutions fully into the Mastercam organization as Mastercam Canada, we are strengthening our local connections while delivering the full power of Mastercam's global resources. Customers will benefit from closer collaboration, faster technical support, and solutions tailored to their regional manufacturing needs."

Mastercam expects the transition to deliver faster response times and more personalised service for manufacturers across Canada, with closer collaboration between staff and customers through local teams operating under the Mastercam Canada banner.

Support focus

Mastercam outlined several operational changes tied to the shift to direct coverage, including quicker problem-resolution processes, training tailored to customer requirements, and access to regional specialists familiar with Canadian manufacturing environments.

Training and support are central to the CAD/CAM market, where manufacturers often rely on vendors and partners for implementation advice, post-sales troubleshooting, and shop-floor skills development. Many customers use CAD/CAM software in workflows that connect design, machining strategies, and production planning. Changes to support arrangements can affect downtime, staff productivity, and the pace of new feature adoption.

Mastercam also linked the acquisition to its broader growth strategy, which combines product development with selected acquisitions and focuses on customer experience and service delivery.

The deal also aligns with Sandvik's wider push into digital manufacturing. In recent years, Sandvik has expanded its software holdings and positioned digital tools as a route to more connected production environments across machining and manufacturing operations.

Mastercam says it continues to advance connected manufacturing technologies within that portfolio and supports customers worldwide, with a focus on productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness.

With In-House Solutions now trading as Mastercam Canada, the business is expected to integrate staff, processes, and customer accounts into Mastercam's Canadian organisation while maintaining continuity of service for existing users.
