Morphisec names Rohyt Belani as Strategic Advisor for channel growth
Morphisec has appointed Rohyt Belani as Strategic Advisor, aiming to drive channel growth and bolster its position in ransomware prevention.
Belani is known in the cybersecurity sector as the founder of Cofense, which was acquired by private equity in 2018. His career spans more than two decades and includes experience scaling companies such as Mandiant, Foundstone, and Intrepidus Group. In his new advisory capacity at Morphisec, Belani will guide the company's channel strategy, particularly focusing on partnerships with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), and shape its go-to-market efforts.
Ron Reinfeld, Chief Executive Officer of Morphisec, highlighted the significance of Belani's new role within the company's broader growth plans.
"Rohyt is one of the rare cybersecurity leaders who has built and scaled category-defining companies from the ground up. His go-to-market expertise, deep understanding of the threat landscape, and proven track record of success in the enterprise and MSSP markets make him an invaluable addition to our advisory board. We're thrilled to have him on board as we enter our next phase of growth," said Reinfeld.
Belani brings with him a deep level of experience in both building and advising technology firms on growth, market positioning, and partnership development. Beyond his work at Cofense, Belani served in leadership roles at Intrepidus Group, which was acquired by NCC Group, at Mandiant before its acquisition by FireEye, and at Foundstone, which became part of McAfee. Belani is currently Managing Partner at Litmus Advisors, where his work centres on supporting technology companies through various stages of expansion and funding.
With the cybersecurity industry seeing a marked increase in ransomware incidents, there is a growing emphasis on prevention-first approaches among enterprises and service providers. Morphisec's focus is to strengthen its anti-ransomware platform through both technology and strategic partnerships. The company's Automated Moving Target Defence (AMTD) is at the centre of its offering, providing automated deception technology against ransomware and targeted cyber attacks.
Belani commented on the alignment between his experience and Morphisec's strategic direction.
"Morphisec's prevention-first approach to cybersecurity and its commitment to channel partnerships are unmatched. I'm excited to partner with Ron and the Morphisec team as they continue to redefine ransomware prevention and preemptive cyber defense. Together, we'll focus on building stronger relationships with MSSPs and accelerating the company's already impressive momentum in the market," said Belani.
Channel programme
In 2025, Morphisec undertook a channel programme expansion, introducing channel leadership roles to address rising demand from managed service and security service providers (MSPs and MSSPs). The company's ecosystem includes service providers, value-added resellers, distributors, system integrators, and referral as well as technology partners. The move to add Belani as Strategic Advisor is seen as a continuation of efforts to reinforce these partnerships and expand the company's presence in key markets.
Morphisec provides prevention-focused cyber defence to thousands of organisations globally. Its AMTD platform is used to protect millions of endpoints from ransomware, advanced persistent threats, and zero-day exploits. The company states that its technology platform and partner channel are integral to its preemptive cyber defence strategy.
Belani's arrival as Strategic Advisor is intended to further support Morphisec's continued growth, particularly in the channel and MSSP space. His expertise is expected to play a key role in guiding the company's approach to market expansion as businesses and service providers place greater emphasis on preemptive security measures against evolving ransomware threats.
