Parallels has expanded its partner ecosystem with a new Parallels Desktop Partner Program and a broader Parallels Workspaces Partner Program, adding a dedicated route for managed service providers, independent software vendors and cloud service providers.

The update creates a separate programme for partners selling Parallels Desktop for Business and Parallels Desktop for Enterprise, while expanding the Workspaces scheme beyond traditional resellers. It comes as Parallels pushes a channel-first model across its desktop virtualisation and workspace products.

Under the new Desktop programme, partners can join at Authorised or Premier level. The structure is designed for companies that sell and support its desktop products for business users who need Windows applications on Mac devices.

Authorised partners will receive access to the partner portal, sales training, not-for-resale licences, partner visibility, and customer and technical support. Premier partners that meet additional commercial, certification and engagement requirements can qualify for deal registration incentives, account management, business planning and pre-sales support.

For the Workspaces business, traditional resellers will remain in the existing Essential, Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers. Alongside those, Parallels has introduced a Solutions Partner path for service-led partners, including MSPs, ISVs and CSPs.

That route assesses partners on customer adoption, technical expertise and service delivery rather than resale revenue alone. Qualification factors include monthly active users, technical expertise and Parallels-based service offerings.

Partners that qualify for the expanded Workspaces programme can access technical training, not-for-resale licences, marketing support, incentives, business planning, pre-sales support, and deployment and implementation guidance where relevant.

The change reflects the wider role partners now play by wrapping Parallels technology into managed services, software integrations and cloud-delivered offers. It also points to a broader shift in channel models, as vendors adapt programmes to recurring service revenue rather than pure product resale.

Michelle Chiantera, Chief Revenue Officer at Parallels, said the revised framework is intended to reflect the different ways partners build businesses around the company's software.

"Partners are central to how we bring Parallels solutions to customers, and they don't all build their businesses the same way," said Chiantera. "These updates give partners a clearer path based on the business they are building. Whether they are helping customers expand Mac adoption, reselling Parallels Workspaces or delivering Parallels technology as part of an ongoing managed, integrated or cloud-delivered service, our goal is to give partners the expertise, resources and support they need to build their business and grow with Parallels."

Workspaces growth

The expansion follows a period of growth in Parallels' Workspaces division, which includes Parallels RAS, DaaS and Browser Isolation. Annual recurring revenue in that core business has nearly tripled, while its customer base has more than tripled.

Those products operate in a market where companies are looking for ways to give staff access to applications and desktops across a mix of office, remote and cloud environments. Parallels is positioning its channel to serve both conventional resale models and partners that integrate the software into an ongoing service.

Christa Quarles, Chief Executive Officer of Parallels, linked the partner expansion to recent growth in the Workspaces business.

"Since I joined the company, the core of Parallels Workspaces - including Parallels RAS, DaaS and Browser Isolation - has nearly tripled ARR, more than tripled our customer base, and truly transformed how the market sees our company," said Quarles. "Our partners have played an important role in that growth, and expanding the program gives us an opportunity to support an even broader range of partners as they build services and solutions around our technology."

Parallels said the new path also reflects wider expansion of its distribution and partner coverage across Europe, the Middle East, Japan and other parts of Asia. Across both programmes, it offers sales and technical certification at no cost and continues to invest in partner enablement, marketing resources, incentives and technical support.

The updated Workspaces Partner Program and the new Desktop Partner Program are expected to become available on December 1, 2026.
