Premier Construction Software has partnered with Quickly to integrate automated early payments into its cloud ERP system, targeting the construction sector's payment processes.
The integration will allow construction businesses using Premier's software to offer early payment on approved invoices at a discount, while suppliers can receive funds sooner than standard payment terms allow. The feature is available with no upfront charge, with savings shared when early payments are used.
Payment delays remain a persistent issue across construction supply chains, where suppliers often wait 30 to 90 days to be paid. Those delays can strain subcontractors and vendors and add administrative work for finance teams managing large volumes of invoices across multiple projects.
Under the partnership, Quickly's system is embedded within Premier's existing workflows rather than sold as a separate tool. Approved payables can therefore be turned into early payment offers within the ERP environment already used by contractors and finance teams.
Payment pressure
Construction companies have long relied on fixed payment cycles that can leave suppliers short of working capital. For smaller firms in particular, delayed settlement can affect purchasing, staffing and project delivery, making payment flexibility a significant issue for buyers and vendors alike.
The new setup is intended to reduce manual payment requests and create a more predictable cash position for contractors. It also aims to help companies capture discounts on approved invoices, lowering payables costs over time.
"Our clients told us they wanted a smarter way to handle vendor payments without adding complexity to their operations. Quickly fits that need. The integration works inside the workflows our clients already use, and it turns approved payables into a savings opportunity. No new systems to learn, no disruption to existing payment terms," said Aisha Ali, President of Premier Construction Software.
Quickly focuses on early payment arrangements that let buyers pay ahead of schedule in exchange for a discount. Its platform is used by more than 2,000 businesses across North America.
"Construction has operated on rigid payment cycles for decades. By partnering with Premier Construction Software, we're embedding dynamic early payments directly into their platform, giving customers a practical way to reduce supplier costs and improve margins without changing how they operate or their existing payment terms. There is no cost to adopt, and customers can choose to use it whenever it makes sense," said Kyle Friedman, CEO & Co-Founder, Quickly Technologies.
ERP expansion
Premier, founded in 2009, provides construction-focused ERP software across North America, Australia, New Zealand and the MENA region. Its platform brings together financial management, project execution and field operations for construction companies working across multiple jobs and supplier networks.
The addition of early payment tools broadens the role of ERP software in the sector, extending its use from budgeting and cost tracking into day-to-day payables management. In practice, that could give contractors greater visibility into when invoices are approved, when discounts are available and how payment timing affects cash flow across live projects.
Premier is a subsidiary of Constellation Software, a group known for acquiring and operating specialist vertical-market software businesses. The partnership with Quickly adds a payments component to Premier's construction offering at a time when software providers are seeking to tie more financial processes directly into industry-specific systems.
For suppliers, the appeal is straightforward: faster access to cash without waiting through conventional payment cycles. For buyers, the appeal is the opportunity to reduce invoice costs while keeping existing terms in place, with adoption left to the customer on an invoice-by-invoice basis.
Customers can use the option whenever it suits their circumstances rather than adopting a mandatory programme across all payables.
