SFM to distribute DTEN collaboration range in Canada
SFM has been appointed as the Canadian distributor for DTEN, giving the Montréal-based distributor rights to sell DTEN's full range of collaboration products across the country.
The agreement adds DTEN's meeting room and remote-work devices to SFM's catalogue for the audiovisual and IT reseller channels. SFM said the arrangement covers the entire DTEN portfolio for Canada and takes effect immediately.
Channel distribution
SFM sells through Canadian channel partners, including audiovisual professionals, system integrators and IT resellers. The company said it will make DTEN products available through its distribution network.
DTEN sells all-in-one collaboration hardware designed for platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms. The company also offers products aimed at home working under Zoom for Home.
DTEN said it has recognition as a Zoom strategic partner and as a Microsoft Teams Rooms certified solution provider. The company positions its products for use in corporate offices, education settings and remote work.
Hybrid work market
Meeting room technology has remained a focus area for both IT and AV buying teams as organisations refine hybrid working policies and refresh meeting spaces. Vendors in this segment have targeted standardised devices that integrate with the main collaboration platforms used by large organisations.
SFM described the appointment as a way for partners to sell into collaboration and meeting room deployments. The distributor also pointed to demand for turnkey products in this part of the market.
"We are thrilled to welcome DTEN to our portfolio of world-class technology brands," said Ghyslain Berger, Chief Executive Officer, SFM. "DTEN's innovative collaboration solutions address the critical needs of organizations navigating the complexities of hybrid work, and this creates tremendous opportunities for our channel partners. The market demand for turnkey collaboration solutions has never been stronger, and DTEN's comprehensive product line, combined with SFM's dedicated support infrastructure, positions our partners to capitalize on this growth with solutions that deliver real business impact for their customers."
Support services
SFM said it will offer partner programmes around DTEN. These include sales support, co-marketing, training and demonstration units. SFM also said it will handle logistics for DTEN products across Canada.
The company referenced Plus+ Services as part of its offer to vendors and channel partners. SFM described the service as part of its wider go-to-market and distribution model for the AV, live entertainment and media production sectors.
DTEN said Canada forms part of its growth plans for the Americas. The company framed the SFM deal around local support and product availability for channel partners.
"Canada represents one of the strategic growth markets, and SFM's established reputation for technical excellence through Plus+ Services, superior customer service, and proven market development capabilities makes them an outstanding partner for DTEN," said Luis Berlanga, GM, Head of Sales for the Americas, DTEN. "As demand for reliable, user-friendly collaboration solutions continues to accelerate across Canadian enterprises and educational institutions, this partnership ensures our channel partners have the competitive advantage of exceptional local support, immediate product availability, and access to our complete product portfolio. Together with SFM, we're creating new pathways for channel success in Canada's dynamic collaboration market."
