Alexi & iManage partner to streamline legal AI & workflows

Thu, 16th Oct 2025

Alexi has announced an integration with iManage to improve workflow efficiency and knowledge management within law firms.

The integration will connect Alexi's legal intelligence platform with iManage's knowledge work system, which is used by more than one million professionals globally, including many prominent law firms.

With this partnership, legal teams will be able to access firm documents stored in iManage securely from within Alexi and return Alexi-generated documents and insights back to iManage. This approach is designed to streamline how firms work with legal information and reduce the need for manual uploading, downloading, or document duplication across systems. Compliance and security standards are maintained throughout every workflow under this system.

Mark Doble, Chief Executive Officer of Alexi, said,

"Firms don't just need new tools; they need connected systems that amplify the value they can deliver to their clients. Our integration with iManage gives law firms the ability to move seamlessly from information to insight, and from insight to client impact."

The integration is designed to help legal firms adopt advanced artificial intelligence (AI) more effectively in both transactional and litigation practices by connecting to an established platform that manages important documents and emails. According to both companies, this promises speed and accuracy for legal tasks, while allowing firms to preserve their knowledge base and organisational standards.

Paul Bower, AI Director at iManage, addressed the importance of trust in adopting new technology, stating,

"When law firms adopt AI, the real question isn't just what the technology can do - it's whether they can trust it. At iManage, we define this as AI Confidence - the ability to harness advanced AI with security, governance, and trust at its core. This partnership with Alexi complements our own AI-enabled capabilities while reflecting our open ecosystem approach, enabling firms to leverage specialized capabilities while maintaining the security and governance standards iManage is trusted to deliver."

The companies state that legal departments will be able to increase the value delivered to clients without sacrificing the integrity or security of their information, as there will be no need for information to leave secure workflows or environments. This also means that the continuity of knowledge within firms will be better preserved, helping teams collaborate more efficiently across cases and projects.

Alexi describes its legal intelligence platform as designed for law firms and legal departments working at scale, deployed in secure private cloud environments. The goal is to surface insight, automate workflows, and standardise processes to help firms deliver results effectively.

iManage provides a cloud-based platform for document and email management, with a focus on productivity, collaboration and security. The platform is in use at over 4,000 organisations worldwide, and the addition of integrated solutions such as Alexi forms part of its wider ecosystem approach.

Through the partnership, both Alexi and iManage are aiming to provide law firms with access to AI tools that do not disrupt existing processes or create additional risks. Firms are expected to gain the ability to connect current knowledge with emerging insights, maintaining compliance and governance while accelerating actionable delivery for clients.
